DCC Email Documentation Menu
The NPS District has migrated email services to the Google Gmail system
using the Postini Email Security system to control spam, viruses, and phishing.
The NPS District Computer Center
supports access to NPS email (Google Gmail) using Microsoft Explorer and
Mozilla Firefox on NPS computers.
The DCC no longer provides technical support for Microsoft Outlook or other email
client software. The DCC does not provide technical support for email access (or
other issues) on personal phones or computers.
Those who choose to use them must take full responsibility for resolving their own
email problems.

How do I modify or disable my Web Clips?
A:
Web Clips - a standard Google Gmail feature - are the single-line informational
links near the top of your email. You can see an example encircled in red below:
The default feeds/sources for the informational links are established
by Google. You can disable the Web Clips or, alternatively,
you can customize the list of feeds to better align the informational links with
your interests. Your personal Web Clips settings are modified through your
Gmail interface.
To disable Web Clips:
- Click on settings near the upper-right corner of your email
- Click on the Web Clips header/tab
- Make Certain the My Clips section is selected
- Uncheck the box labeled "Show my web clips above the inbox"
If you like the Web Clips concept then you may want to customize the feeds.
You can remove any or all of the items in the default list. You can also
find others that may be more to your liking by typing a topic of interest into
the "Search by topic or URL:" space of the Web Clips page.
Searches for "lesson plans", "language arts", and "educational technology"
produce several results. Click the Add button for feeds that pique
your interest.
You can read more in the
Gmail Help

About Web Clips.
