LOADING "MAKING THE GRADE" TO YOUR C:

*** WE NO LONGER RECOMMEND LOADING THE PROGRAM TO THE U: ***

1. Put the Making the Grade disk into the floppy disk drive.

2. Double click on the This Computer icon.

3. Double click on the 3½ floppy A: icon so that the computer will read your disk.

4. You will then have one of the two frames below on your screen

5. Double click on the Setup icon that looks like a computer with a blue screen, there may be more than one so be careful to click on the correct one.

6. The computer will then read your disk and go to the Making the Grade Setup screen, you will need to click on Next three times.

7. You should now be at the screen that asks where you want to load the program, click on Browse.

8. This will bring up the Choose Folder frame, at the bottom of the frame you can change drives, click on the down arrow and choose the C: drive

9. After choosing the C: drive you need to put in the path name,  C:\MTG  or  C:\Making the Grade  and then click OK.

NOTE: It is up to you what you name the folder that you are creating to put making the grade in, those are just suggestions.

10. You will then go back to a screen that now has the Destination Folder as C:\MTG (or whatever you name it). Click on Next.

11. Your next screen will ask where you want the Making the Grade icon to be. The default is a folder labeled MTG, if that is what you would like to use click next.

12. You should now be at the final install screen. Click Next and your computer will begin installing Making the Grade on the C: drive.

13. When it has finished installing you will get a Setup Complete screen. There will be a check in the View the README file box. It is not necessary for you to read this, you can if you want though. Click on it to remove the check and then click in the white box next to Run Making the Grade and click Finish.

14. Your computer will then open Making the Grade and you are now ready to finish setting up your preferences by following the instructions on the screen.
