| Oklahoma PASS Objectives Social Studies I.A.3 I.B. 1 & 2 I.C. 1, 2, 3, 5, & 6 Science Process and Inquiry Math NPS Curriculum NPS Technology Students insert, move, and resize a graphic in a document. Students collaborate in the creation of a multimedia slide show containing text and graphics. Students use different views to create and organize multimedia presentations. Students type sentences. Students type paragraphs. Students enter an Internet address (URL) to access a web site. Students bookmark web sites. Students use search engines. Students use text/word wrap. Students copy, cut, and paste. Students use the spell checker, dictionary, and thesaurus. Students create a greeting card, label, sticker, bookplate, or simple sign using desktop publishing software. Students enter data into database templates. |
Description: In this unit students will
progress through the roles of Explorer, Researcher,
Designer, and Evaluator as they learn about world
geography. Student as Explorer : Students explore a variety books, videos, magzines and web sites to discover new and interesting things about the countries and continents.
Student as Researcher: Students investigate and research countries and continents.
Student as Designer: Students design creative products that illustrate and explain the location, culture and environment of cities, countries and continents.
