used before, during, or after formally teaching different
poetry forms
Have students:
- Open an Internet browser (Start>Common
Programs>Internet Explorer or Navigator).
- Type in the URL http://scrtec.org
and press the Enter/Return key on the keyboard.
- Click on TrackStar.
- Click on Find Tracks by Keyword.
- In the Keyword box type in the word
"poetry"
- Scroll down to the Track entitled "Poetry is
for everyone!" by Amy Martin and click on
the hyperlinked title.
- Scroll down the page past the description and
click on the "frames" option.
- Bookmark (Favorites in Internet
Explorer) this Track.
- Follow the Track directions at the top of the
page.
- Read other student's published poetry on the page
entitled "Publishing a Poem".
