Description: Students visit
"Great Buildings" site and keep a talley sheet
on shapes they find. Then students will then create a
shape picture in Paint. Lesson
: 2. Students make talley marks on a worksheet as they find shapes. 3. Students choose their favorite building and share as a "shape walk." 4. Students visit the virtual museum and go on a tour to look for shapes. Go to http://illuminations.nctm.org/imath/across/connections/tour/index.html. 5. Students can also explore geosolids for properties at http://illuminations.nctm.org/imath/3-5/GeometricSolids/GeoSolids.html. 6. In MSPaint students make a shape picture (overlapping shapes) and color . Students should save their work to the U: drive.
