Students print a document.

Students insert a letter or word using the cursor.

Students use the mouse to choose options in a menu.

Students use a web browser, buttons, and hypertext links.

Students enter an internet address (URL) to access a web site.

Students bookmark web sites.

Description: Students will create a graph to show the growth of their plants.

Lesson :

1. Measure plants with inch or metric rulers and record the data.

2. Open Internet Explorer or Navigator (Start > Common Programs > Internet Explorer or Navigator).

3. Type in the URL web address for the Create a Graph website http://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/Graphing/

4. Bookmark the website (Favorites > Add to Favorites, or Bookmarks > Add Bookmark).

5. In the Select Type of Graph box pull down to choose Line Graph.

6. Enter your graph information.

7. Scroll down and click on Create Printable Graph button.

8. Print your graph (File > Print).
