Teacher will demonstrate each step and then the students will follow.

  1. From the Start menu, open the paint program.(Start>Common Programs>Accessories>Paint)

  2. Use the paint bucket to select a background color.



  3. Using the line tool, draw a straight line down the middle of the screen.

  4. Using the line tool, draw a straight line across the middle of the screen.

  5. Use the circle/oval tool to create a circle in one of the spaces. (If you hold down the Shift key while you drag you can make a perfect circle.)

  6. Use the paint bucket, select the color red, and click inside the circle to color it.

  7. Use the square/rectangle tool to create a square in one of the spaces.

  8. Use the paint bucket, select the color blue, and click inside the square to color it.

  9. Use the square/rectangle tool to create a rectangle in one of the spaces.

  10. Use the paint bucket, select the color yellow, and click inside the rectangle to color it.

  11. Use the polygon tool to create a triangle in the last space.

  12. Use the paint bucket, select the color green, and click inside the triangle to color it.



  13. After teacher has observed each student’s finished picture, students may explore the paint program as they choose.

  14. Exit the program.
