How do I contact the school?

Call (405)366-5904, fax (405)366-5906, or email your child's teacher. Our web site: www.norman.k12.ok.us . The Lincoln school office hours are 7:25 to 3:50 to answer your questions. Principal Secretary is Mrs. Boren and our Attendance Secretary is Mrs. Kloesel.

What are school hours?

Basic hours are 7:55 AM to 2:40 PM. Parents must pick up students before 3:05 PM. Student can arrive to school in morning no earlier than 7:35 AM unless student is enrolled in breakfast program. We ask all parents to watch their student(s) enter building before driving away. No student should be unsupervised outside on playground prior to school for safety reasons.

When is a student considered tardy or absent?

If a student arrives to school after 7:55 AM this student is marked tardy. If a student arrives to school after 8:55 AM this student is marked ½ absent. PM ½ day absence is 10:56-1:40. Early out/tardy is 1:40-2:40. A note from doctor or dentist appointments is encouraged. If a student is absent unexcused more than 10% of a quarter they will receive a NG (no grade) on their report card. If student receives 2 or more quarters of NG retention will be considered. What is the cost of lunch at Lincoln?

DAILY=$1.90 / WEEKLY=$9.50

Checks should be made payable to “Lincoln Lunch Program”. Should you have any questions, call foodservice (after 9:30 AM) at 366-5907 or 366-5908 (Sodexho).

Is there a breakfast program at Lincoln?

Lincoln does have a breakfast program before school 7:20-7:40 AM for the cost of .90 cents. Call 366-5908 to enroll.

Is there before school and after school care at Lincoln?

This is an independent after school daycare located at Lincoln. You can reach them before or after school at 366-5970 or 5907. Please contact daycare not the Lincoln office if you have any questions.

Are there clubs or activities for kids at Lincoln?

Yes we do! Lincoln has "24 Club", Girl Scouts, Brownies, Choir, Service Learning Club and the list is always growing.

What if my child needs medication during the school day?

School personnel CAN NOT administer a prescription or non-prescription medication without written authorization form parent or guardian and sometimes doctor. This requires parents to fill out form in office for our file. Only medications that meet guidelines will be administered. Copies of Administration Medication forms are available in the school office and also at web site www.norman.k12.ok.us

What Middle School or High School will my child attend after Lincoln?

Irving Middle School and Norman High School. If you do not live in Lincoln boundries this may change.

What are the age requirements for transition for first grade?

Except as otherwise provided by law, no child shall be enrolled in the transition/first grade unless he/she will have reached the age of six (6) on or before September 1 of the school year.

Does Lincoln have All Day Kindergarten?

Effective 2006-2007 Lincoln offers all day, free Kindergarten. If you have questions, please call 366-5906.

What are the immunization Requirements for Lincoln?

For Kindergarten through 5th grade the State of Oklahoma requires the following: 5 DTP shots, 4 Polio shots, 2 MMR shots, 3 HepB shots, 2 HepA shots and one Varicella shot.
