FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

The following are just a few questions we are asked by parents. If you have a question that you don't see here, let us know. We'll do our best to answer it.

How do I contact the school?

Call (405) 366-5910, fax at (405) 366-5912 or email your child's teacher.

What are the school hours?

Basic hours are from 7:55-2:40.

What is the price for lunch?

Lunch is $1.75, Breakfast is $0.80 and milk is $0.30. For more details, see the Lunch Program.

Can I bring my preschooler on field trips?

When you volunteer to go on school field trips, you will be responsible for a specific group of students. This entails monitoring student behavior as well as reinforcing the unique aspects of the activity. Our field trips usually relate to a current curriculum unit and are developmentally appropriate. Preschoolers tire easily and through no fault of their own require supervision that detracts from the group.

Can I bring red punch to school for parties or snacks?

Red punch stains the carpet and clothing.

What Middle School or High School will my child attend after Madison?

Irving Middle School and Norman High School

What are the age requirements for first grade?

Except as otherwise provided by law, no child shall be enrolled in the first grade unless he/she will have reached the age of six (6) on or before September 1 of the school year.

What are the drop off and pick up procedures?

Please drive through the staff parking lot to drop off and/or pick up your child at the door located on the west side of the school. *Only daycare vans and school buses will drop off and pick-up in the front of the school this year.

Reminder, students cannot be dropped off at Madison before 7:25 a.m.  At 7:25 a.m., we will start serving breakfast. If your child does not eat breakfast, you can drop them off at 7:40 a.m.  Students will go to class starting at 7:40 a.m. this year.
