Outside Class Behavior Consequences
Detention may be assigned by any classroom teacher or by the administration. The detention may be assigned before school, after school, lunch or Saturday. Continued failure to serve detention will result in further disciplinary action. Community service may be an option.

Saturday School is an
administrative consequence. Saturday School will be
given for student behavior that typically warrants a consequence beyond
that offered by
after school detention. It is used as an alternative to
out-of-school suspension.

Suspension is the denial by the school administration of the right
of a student to
attend class, school or school-sponsored activities. It may be:
Any suspension is
subject to appeal.
During the time of suspension, the student may not come on Norman
Public School property
or attend any school activities. This includes before school,
after school, the
lunch period or any time when other students are in attendance for
academic or
extra-curricular activities sponsored by the school.
