GLO 2009 will be held Saturday morning, February 7, 2009, 8:00-12:30, at Longfellow Middle School, 215 N. Ponca Avenue, Norman, Oklahoma. The Get the Lead Out! (GLO) Festival for Young Authors and Artists was instituted in 2003 to recognize and foster the talents and skills of students by providing opportunities for them to work with career professionals in the arts and writing. GLO Workshop sessions at the festival focus on hands-on experience and introduce career options in the arts. The festival is an annual project of the Longfellow Gifted and Talented Program, but participation is open to any Oklahoma student in grades 4-8.

Who should attend?  You, if you enjoy writing, poetry, drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, collage, filming video, or making jewelry or crafts!
