The Norman Board of Education is committed to the demanding job of overseeing and setting policies for the District that ensure all students are offered a quality educational program. Members are elected to a five-year term by the majority vote of the voters in the designated election district they represent. The regular board meeting is held at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of each month at the Administrative Services Center, Curriculum Center Building, 131 S. Flood Avenue. The public is invited to attend.

The Board encourages parental and community involvement and works closely with the Norman Public Schools Citizens Advisory Council to explore various issues related to education. The Norman Board of Education believes in communicating with its publics about the needs and achievements of the district. Citizens are encouraged to contact board members with questions, ideas and/or concerns.
