Letter from Our Principal
November 5, 2015
Dear Jefferson Family,
It’s hard to believe that November is already here, and with that, of course, means cooler weather, visiting with family, and turkey! I hope you all take/make time this month for each other; here at Jefferson we are definitely thankful for each and every member of our extended family.
Just a couple reminders about upcoming activities and events taking place at Jefferson Elementary during the month of November:
9 Weeks Awards Assembly, 11/5
Parent-Teacher Conference, 11/5-11/6
Student Holiday/No School, 11/6
Veteran’s Day Assembly, 11/11 @ 7:50am
3rd Grade Program, 11/12
Coffee w/Principal, 11/13
Thanksgiving Dinner/Lunch, 11/19
Skate Night, 11/19
Thanksgiving Break/No School, 11/25-11/27
As many of you may or may not already know, I will be stepping away at the end of November for a couple weeks as my wife and I welcome our second child. I want to assure you that while I am out, with the districts help, I have secured a retired Norman principal to fill in and support both our students and staff. Mr. Glenn Haring, who many of you may remember from his time at Longfellow and most recently Norman North, has agreed to step in and has already spent several days shadowing me throughout the building and getting to know our students and staff. I am excited that Mr. Haring will be here to support us during November and early December. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
With that being said, I am looking forward to a great November and as always, my door is always open; don’t hesitate to get in touch, and thank you for the opportunity to learn/work with your children.
2014-2015 Teacher of the Year - Mrs. Lenington
