The Whittier Middle School Orchestra was once again selected as a performing honor group for the Oklahoma Music Educators Association Winter Convention and performed on Friday, January 18, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the Tulsa Convention Center. The honor group performed for the home crowd in Norman on Monday, February 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the Clinton Theatre of the Nancy O'Brian Center for the Performing Arts. The show featured the following selections: Relativity by Margaret Fenske; St. Anthony's Chorale and Variations arranged by Deborah Monday; Hit the Beach by Dean Sorenson; Bugler's Holiday by Leroy Anderson and a Stevie Wonder Medley arranged by Irvin Wagner. Under the direction of Ms. Kay Jenkins, the orchestra was accompanied by several Norman Public Schools music teachers and guests, known as The Sticky Notes.
