for Non-NPS Users

 

 
The NPS Fine Arts Library houses materials for Band, Orchestra, General Music, Vocal Music and Visual Art as well as a Professional Library for NPS Teachers. Available library materials include:
Strings, Full Orchestra and Band Libraries
  • Full instrumentation of parts, including scores for classic, pop and theatre categories
Vocal Music Library
  • The NPS collection of vocal octavos as well as OMEA and Norman Children's Chorus
Visual Art and Professional Library - Books, Kits, Videos, Art Prints, CDs and DVDs
  • For General Music, Visual Arts, Band, Orchestra and Vocal Music
  • Teacher enrichment/suggestions, National Standard guidelines
  • Warm-ups for band, ensemble development, exercises for performance, advocacy and recruitment ideas, composer videos , Sister Wendy painting series, art print posters for classroom display
  • Lessons in film making DVD kit
  • CDs of musicial performances, workshops/clinics, listening music, recorded NPS school concert performances
Publications, Brochures and Catalogs
  • College auditions, promoting music careers, what parents can do to help, sacred text in music, music publications, equipment for order, workshops/clinics, articles on composers, jazz magazines
 
Ways to Check-Out Library Materials:
  • Come to the library for self-search and pick up
  • Email or telephone ahead of time for requests. State your choice of pick up or inter-school mail delivery
  • Request detailed search via librarian (e.g. OSSAA list, grade, level of difficulty, genre)
  • The librarian is usually here M – F, 10:00 - 2:00. Materials may be picked up until 4:15 p.m.
