Norman Public Schools uses various communications tools
to inform and engage parents, guardians and citizens:

  • Infinite Campus is the official messaging program used to inform parents and guardians of emergency situations or time-sensitive information. Infinite Campus allows for messages to be sent to parents and guardians via email, text or phone recording. The emails and/or phone numbers used are those submitted by parents and guardians during enrollment. Therefore, it is important that parents and guardians notify their school when their contact information changes. Principals and faculty also utilize Infinite Campus for non emergency messaging at their discretion.
  • NPS Web site is available in both desktop and mobile versions, is managed to provide up-to-the-date information to the public. It incorporates any emergency messaging shared via Infinite Campus or other methods. Bookmark www.norman.k12.ok.us on your desktop and Add It to Home Screen on your mobile device to have quick 24.7 access.
  • Social media accounts on Facebook [Norman Public Schools] Twitter [@NormanSchools] and YouTube [Norman Schools] are managed and updated daily with information, events and achievements. Emergency or time-sensitive information also is posted on these accounts.
  • Mobile app messaging at both the district and school site level are available through www.schoolconnectapps.com. Just download the free Apple and Android app onto your mobile device, select Norman Public Schools, and accept Push messages from the district and your school. The mobile app is used to convey both emergency and non emergency information.
  • Nside Newsletter is sent monthly during the school year using emails provided by parents and guardians during enrollment. A message from the superintendent is included in each installment, as well as Board of Education and program news, and school achievements.
  • Ch. 18 is the district's free cable access channel through Cox, airing event information and student and district programming.
  • Livestreaming The district livestreams athletic events and other events of public interest on NormanHighLive.com and NormanNorthLive.com.
