The Title VII Program was implemented in
1974. The Johnson O’Malley (JOM) has
been in
J O M Program Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility
for the JOM Program requires a student to be eligible for tribal membership or
be a ¼ degree Indian blood or descendant of a tribal member of a federally
recognized tribe with written documentation. The following documents are
required to enroll in JOM:
Tribal Membership Card/Letter or Certificate of
Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB)
Birth Certificate
The
Johnson O’Malley Program services include the after-school tutoring program, assistance
with school supplies and classroom fees, educational opportunities/competitions,
and cultural programs. Currently, our
JOM Program serves approximately 970 Native American students throughout
Norman.
