State Testing

Pursuant to federal and state law, all students in Oklahoma are tested once a year in Grades 3-8 and grade 10. High school students enrolled in US History will also be assessed.  The state Department of Education determines the window for when state testing must occur in all public schools and facilitates with its testing vendors the scoring and reporting of student results.

Students in grades 3-5 will take grade level assessments in Language Arts and Math. Students in grade 5 will also test in Science.

Students in grades 6-8 will take grade level assessments in English and Math.  Students in grade 8 are required to test in Science.

All 10th grade students will take assessments in English, Math, and Science.  Any 10th grade student with a valid Biology EOI score from a previous testing window will be exempt from taking the Science assessment for the 2016-2017 school year.  The US History exam will be administered to all students enrolled in US History.
