Norman Public Schools will host its second annual School Readiness Fair, a free event designed to help families of incoming Pre-K and new-to-NPS Kindergarten students prepare for a successful start to the school year. Families will have the opportunity to connect with community organizations and district departments offering resources and services focused on early learning, health, family support and school readiness.

Who

The event is open to families with children entering NPS Pre-K or Kindergarten for the first time during the 2026-2027 school year.

Families can visit booths and learn about resources available through community partners, including:

  • TFCU

  • Women's Resource Center

  • Norman Firehouse Art Center

  • Kelly Education

  • Center for Children and Families

  • Oklahoma State Department of Health

  • AlphaBest Education

  • McFarlin UMC's Mobile Food Pantry

  • Cleveland County Health Department

  • Norman PTA Council

  • Pioneer Library System

  • Ok State Dept Health/Cleveland County Child Guidance

  • Norman Regional Health System Outpatient Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Services

  • Sooner Success

Families can also connect with Norman Public Schools departments, including:

Pre-K enrollment assistance will also be available during the event for families who still need to complete the enrollment process.

While RSVPs are not required, they are appreciated to assist with planning.
